Firstly, let me introduce this steel structure, how it reach its strength. It is not plain steel plate, it is with corrugation. There is a saying that goes like this, the corrugation depth is as same as same thickness steel plate strength. We can not sure this saying, but all of us know, the corrugated steel plate has much bigger strength than plain steel plate. How to meet low filling height projection.
We talked about the filling height above, then when the filling height is very small, how we can consider the design of the nestable corrugated steel culvert. As we mentioned, the minimum filling back on the road projection, it is 300mm, when the filling height is small, it has to be bigger than 300mm. And the live load is an important value for our design. It will be the biggest factor that will affect on the corrugated steel culvert.
