The corrugated steel culvert pipe, normally it is in round shape, when we design a corrugated metal arch, it means the span of the structure should be big even large. Because if we still adopt round shape structure, it maybe difficult to assemble on the construction site, maybe the projection can not meet so big diameter round culvert, also maybe it will create more cost. Firstly, we have to know the span size of the arch. Normally, the arch span is big, so it has more strict request on the span design. secondly, we have to know what is the filling height on the top of the arch, this is dead load. Thirdly, we have to know the live load on the top of arch, after filling back, what is the max weight of the truck or other vehicles pass on the arch? Is this arch is used for highway or in mine area?
fter we getting all data above, we can make calculation, make sure the shape of the arch, decide the corrugation size and thickness of steel. Then the corrugated metal arch design is finished. After producing, transport to the construction site, finally assemble it is OK.
