Why the corrugation 152X51mm is popular?

In the American standard, 152X51mm corrugation is the medium size, it is not too big size, and not too small size, it is with strong performance, but can make small radius. This is its advantage among all corrugation sizes.

In most of projection, the culvert diameter is from 2-8m. and corrugation 152X51mm can meet the request strength of this size culvert, also its medium size is not too big cost, so when the engineers design the culvert, they prefer to adopt this corrugation. And all countries approve the American standard, so this corrugation size is adopted in most projection in difference countries.

Corrugation 152X51mm design

When we talk about the corrugation152X51mm, it means the corrugation pitch is 152mm, and the corrugation depth is 51mm. Some factory does not produce 152X51mm corrugation,but they can produce 150X50mm. Their strength is almost same, and the 150X50mm is in the producing tolerance of 152X51mm, so the factory produce 150X50mm corrugation for the projection which is designed corrugation 152X51mm.

In our factory, we can produce the corrugation 152X51mm, because we have lots of customers from America. our products in corrugation pitch 152mm, depth 51mm, the radius of wave is 28mm, each corrugated structure plate has 8 waves, so its effective length is 1216mm, it is calculated as 152mmX8 waves=1216mm. The structure plate real width is 1316mm, because on each side, there is 50mm edge for overlap. When we get an order, if customer telling us the total length of the culvert, we will calculate how many structure plates we need as per the effective length 1216mm, but not 1316mm.
