Abroad

The metal bridge and culverts were first born in Britain in 1784；
In 1896 the United States first carried out a feasibility study of corrugated steel culvert, channel, and for the first time applied to highway culvert.
In 1923, the American Railway Engineering Association conducted a test of a corrugated steel plate in the central railway of Illinois.
Since then, corrugated steel pipe culvert products have been widely applied in highway and railway engineering in the US and Canada, and the corresponding technical standards and design manuals, construction and installation manuals have been worked out.
Japan, South Korea and other East Asian countries began to formulate technical specifications for metal bellows and culverts from 80s to 90s in the last century, which began to be widely used.
With the application and operation of the nearly one hundred years in the world, the metal bridge and culverts in various situations is verified. Now, the standards and specifications of various countries are complete, and the technology has been very mature, and its service life has exceeded the design life.

In China

Before and the beginning of the founding of new China, the application of metal culverts has been started. During the Second World War, the metal culverts imported from the United States were applied to the Burma Road in the war of resistance against Japan.
In 1948, the metal corrugated pipe culverts imported from the United States were applied to the military pavement in the Gaoqiao area of Pudong, Shanghai.
1997~1999 years, 3 permafrost regions of the Qinghai Tibet highway (2 integral and 1 assembly).
